Accommodation close to the Ouseburn Valley is plentiful and often in stunning surroundings. The Premier Inn www.premierinn.com is on the boundary of Ouseburn and the city centre [look for Newcastle City Centre (Millenium Bridge) on the website] – we even had camping under the arches of Byker Bridge during last year's dott 07 festival - www.dott07.com/go/dott-blog. There are also apartments to let on a short term basis at City Apartments www.centralr.com in the heart of the Ouseburn, next to the Free Trade Inn on Walker Road [look for City Apartments Newcastle-Quayside on the website]. The Valley’s very own luxury boutique “Hotel du Vin” www.hotelduvin.com is due to open in autumn 2008, with Quayside, city centre and Jesmond hotels, serviced apartments and bed & breakfast accommodation all close enough to the Valley to make the journey on foot.

Ouseburn & Quayside (up to 5 minutes away)
Malmaison www.malmaison-newcastle.com on the Newcastle Quayside is 5 minutes walk from the Valley and the Vermont Hotel www.vermont-hotel.com, Copthorne www.millenniumhotels.com and Premier Inn www.premierinn.com also overlook the riverside. City, Mariners Wharf and Lime Square Serviced Apartments are all close by.

Newcastle City Centre (20 minutes away)
Next to and opposite the Central Station are the Royal Station Hotel www.royalstationhotel.com and Thistle Hotel www.thistlehotels.com respectively. Jury’s Inn www.jurysinns.com and Express by Holiday Inn www.hiexpress.co.uk are 5 minutes from the station and 25 minutes bus ride to the valley. Grey Street Hotel www.greystreethotel.com offers a boutique experience and is a 10 minute ride away on the Quayside transit system. Grey Street serviced apartments www.silverdoor.co.uk opposite Theatre Royal offer a little more luxury and privacy. Backpackers In! Hostel www.albatrossnewcastle.co.uk on Grainger Street is budget accommodation in a great location.

Jesmond (20 minutes away)
The choice in Jesmond is wide ranging from Youth Hostel to luxury hotel. Both Metro stations in Jesmond go to Byker & Manors (change at Monument), a 5 minute walk to the Valley. Otherwise, take the scenic route along Jesmond Dene, cut through Warwick Street to the City Stadium then follow the paths down to the Lower Valley and Village Green.
